The Department of Health and Social Care is providing CARE badges to staff employed across the adult social care sector to recognise their critical work, as shown during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Care Dynamics are distributing the badges to our entire team so that they, and their profession, are more recognisable.
NHS workers currently have the option to wear the famous logo but no such option existed for care workers such as care home staff, child services workers and support workers.
The Health Secretary Matt Hancock said: “This will be a badge of honour, allowing social care staff to proudly and publicly to identify themselves, just like NHS staff do with that famous blue and white logo”.
Mr Hancock said he is proud of the fact that people support carers and NHS staff, adding that it is not a clap just for the NHS, but it is a clap for our carers.
He ended by thanking those care workers: “You are on the frontline in this battle. I want to thank you for your courage.”
